Pain in neck/ear - blocked feeling

For a couple of months the side of my neck around and under my ear lobe has been painful. Not constantly and completely bearable but nonetheless I’m aware of it. The ear on that side also has a slightly blocked feeling although my hearing seems fine. I’ve been to the doctor twice about the pain and for unrelated things have had two lots of bloods done, apparently nothing is wrong. Any ideas what this could be? I don’t know if I should be asking to be referred to ENT? Anyone had similar? I had Covid with a bad cold not longer before the pain started so I thought it could be linked to that but surely it should be gone after more than two months?

If it’s after covid have you tried popping your ears and doing steam inhalation?
Eustachian tube dysfunction usually goes away in one to two weeks. People with chronic eustachian tube dysfunction may have lingering symptoms for weeks, months or even years.

Have you seen a dentist recently? I’ve heard of ear & neck pain being down to dental issues.

Both great points thank you @TwentyThreeFifteen - will look into the Eustachian tube thing and I also wondered about the dentist - it is definitely a bit around my jaw too. I have a check up in January.

It could be your Eustachian tube blocked or infected maybe. I had covid last week and ever since have had a pain on one side when I swallow which kind of radiates into my ear. I've looked at my throat and can't see anything obvious. It doesn't seem to be going away but I'm putting it down to lingering covid symptoms as I did have quite bad earache/popping in my ears at the time. I've been gargling, steaming etc. sometimes feels like it's helping but not for long. It's not massively painful, more annoying so I'm hoping it will gradually ease.

I think it's just one of those annoying things that will gradually go away on its own op.
