The beauty therapist has made a complete hash of it!

She removed the cuticle on one toe to the point of it bleeding...surely this cannot be right?

Also she has cut down one big toe nail below the top of my toe (if that makes sense) which is also sore.

I mentioned the bleeding cuticle as it was really stinging but she did not seem too bothered.

Am not a frequent user of beauty places (this was a gift) but surely this is not right !!

I hate complaining but should I?

Complain you must! She shouldn't draw blood

Had manicure and head to toe waxing today myself....must be the day for it

Definately complain! Accidents can happen but if she has knowingly drawn blood then it should have been cleaned up properly at the time and noted on your client record in case infection ensues (very unlikely btw, dont worry!!)

She must have been using the cuticle knife wrongly in which case she needs to be re-trained so she doesnt maim someone else. I am a beauty therapist and I know you must be so careful. Go back and show the salon manager.

Binkle and flip, infection is what i am worried about .

Came home and took off the nail varnish to have a look then soaked my foot in salty water for 20 mins. Do you think it will be ok?

I'm sure it will be fine honestly. But you should still complain. If nothing else you are OWED a decent treatment.

Well I phoned up to complain. Explained that my toe was really sore and when i took of the nail varnish to assess the damage myself the nail bed started bleeding again . Also explained that having worn my shoes home my toe was also really sore due to the nail itself being cut back way to far.

The owner of the place spoke to the beutician who basically completely denied that there had been any bleeding!!! She bloody well 'explained' why it had happened when i asked her at the time!!

The owner said I had to go back immediately so that she could see for herself. I couldnt as I was loooking after my son again by this point and and in any case I felt this was a damn cheek considering the original girl had noticed and discussed the problem with me at the time, albeit in a very dismissive way. cannot believe she is lying barefaced about it now.

So not sure what to do now. Any suggestions?

Hello HTT - Can you go in and see the Owner this week and show her?

Just as an aside - Did they not suggest that you take a pair of flip flops to wear afterwards rather than shoes which would damage the polish?

A pedicure should not make your foot bleed.

take a photo of your foot now just in case any damage has healed by the time they see you.
