12 month baby with a cold, no poo for 3 days

DS too has a rotten cold, but I'm more worried about the lack of poo for 3 days. he has been a bit off his food, but eats plenty of fruit and veg puree.

any thoughts gratefully received as to when this becomes a big problem and needs a trip to the GP

Have you tried some warm water? Sometimes this works a treat in getting poos to come.

If he's been off his food he may not need to do one.

Make sure he has plently of fluids to ensire he doesn't get dehydrated.

If in doubt phone your out of hours gp service for advice. I personally wouldn't leave it til Monday - that would be 5 days.

Sorry - I meant to give him a bottle of warm water to drink. I didn't explain that very well!!LOL

thanks - I checked with the GP in a panic and was prescribed some mild laxative. but the bottle of warm water was helpful - got things finally going.

poor little bottom looked very sore and there was a big hard poo causing the problem
