My Father was in a critical condition following an operation, was put into a coma and then caught sepsis. We were told to expect the worse, that was 10 years ago and whilst he’s not as strong as he once was he’s still very much with us.

I know a couple of people who’ve survived extreme, critical illness beyond what the medical staff have prepared those around them for.

I’m sorry to say that I wouldn’t be optimistic knowing that their pupils are unresponsive to light but I’m not medical, just have that vague knowledge that it isn’t a good sign.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this.

I do know people who have come back from critical status when it has been heart/covid-related, but I fear a head injury like this is different. I am so so sorry. Do you have someone with you?
