That's it really, poor little mite. Am breastfeeding, and have just starting giving her vitamins in an attempt to help. Nurse seemed unconcerned. Any thoughts welcome...

have you tried cutting out dairy?

Alva · 13/03/2008 22:05

Thanks fingerwoman - no, but I would if it might help! Sorry to be dim, but why might that help? Is it in case she might be allergic to dairy?

DS was born in Nov (2005) and was snuffly throughout the first winter and every one since. He was bf for 14 mths, walked at 10 mths () and is the most physical child I know. No lasting effects, I just seem to spend most of my time wiping his nose!

Snufflebabe did seem to help when he seemed particularly blocked up - I fed him with it as close to his nose as I could get it!

Good to hear, feetheart. Must google snufflebabe - is it like karvol?

Yes, sort of Karvol for babies. Can get it in Boots I think.

well, dairy tends to make you more mucousy, and could have an effect on baby via your breastmilk.
might be worth at least cutting down on it, just to see if things improve at all

Interesting, fingerwoman. Am cutting down to see what happens...
