Any idea what this could be in the corner of my mouth. It's very dry but not sore at all!

It could do with some Savlon or Sudocream on the sore and try to keep moisturising the area.

I used to get something similar and it turned out I was allergic to whitening toothpastes

It might be impetigo. Very common & contagious but easily sorted with cream prescribed.

Looks like eczema to me.

Go to the pharmacist.

Angular cheilitis

If it's not any of the above suggestions, it could be contact dermatitis. Caused by eating food you have a mild allergy too or as PP said by using a toothpaste or even lip balm that doesn't suit you. If it is CD, it will clear up with a hydrocortisone cream, but you'll need to find out what is causing the allergic reaction.

Chocolateteabag · 03/12/2023 03:06

DO NOT USE hydrocortisone around your mouth!!

If it's peri oral dermatitis it will only make it worse!
It could be to do with the enzymes in your saliva attacking your skin, or angular chelitis or your toothpaste causing a reaction (or something like pineapple or kiwi)

Your pharmacist might help - but try something fungicidal like Fucidin, daktarin or clotramizole
Do not let anyone suggest hydrocortisone! It means they know nothing

This can be caused by vitamin deficiency, especially B6.
