What time should I take this medication tomorrow (picolax)

I have my colonoscopy tomorrow at 10am. I need to leave the house by 9 to make sure I get there on time. It says I have to take the second solution at least 4 hours before my appointment which would make sense to take it at 6am. However, I’ve taken the first lot tonight at 5 and I’m still on the toilet 3 hours later…

what time would you risk taking it

You'll have less go get rid of by tomorrow but I would go for 5am anyway.

Oh you poor thing!
I was given moviprep when I had to go for mine, tasted absolutely vile! Came with similar suggestions of when to take it. I can't remember exactly when I took mine, but I do remember the second lot wasn't nearly as bad as the first for being stuck to the toilet.

5am so that you can actually get off the toilet to travel to the appointment.

5am sounded about right. Ugh. So early. I was originally given moviprep but I vomited up the mixture. Couldn’t stomach it at all, so I’ve been given picolex this time. Much easier to drink

take a puppy pad or towel to sit on on your journey, (and a change of bottoms).

In recovery now. Wasn’t too bad. They kindly rubbed numbing gel on it first and then handed me gas and air. I just focused on that. Didn’t get to see my insides as I was a bit gourded out but it was worth it
