Anyone had a cough headache thats cured itself?

Ive had the dreaded cold going round and am left with nasty dry cough. Problem is that everytime i cough now I get a splitting pain on both sides of my head.
Had a look at some stuff on the net but doesnt say anything about it going
I really cant go back to the docs have been every week for past 3 weeks

I had this too, but it only lasted a day and a night...I hit it with some codeine though, it was agony...I assume it was from all the coughing. Hope yours goes as quickly!!
