DS 2.5 has what I think is sickness bug thats going around. Started this morning and hasnt been able to keep anything down.

He has spent ALL day just lying in the beanbag in the front room (apart from when I've lifted him out to clean him up), doesnt even want the TV on, drifting in and out of sleep.

This is normal for a bug isnt it? He's had a few other health issues recently so I'm hoping I'm just being paranoid.

He's not feverish or anything or crying, just seems worn out.

Yes, lotty, this is very normal.

His body has been fighting a battle and he's exhausted by it. Make the most of the peace and quiet, wrap him up and give him loads of cuddles.

Yes it can be normal. I find that Paralink suppositories are great for times like this as it does make them feel a little better especially if they can't keep anything down.

Check he doesn't have any of the symptoms for meningitis and if you are worried call your GP.

Desi... I do know what you mean, but it is odd when they are sooo quiet when normally manic.

Have checked for spots and he's fine and rang surgery and they said there was a bug going round.

Have you checked for rashes?

yes. nothing. and he doesnt have a fever either.

Totally normal behaviour for my two when they are ill.

Hope he is beter soon.

ah... he has just perked up and asked for fishfingers... not the best food in the world but at least he's hungry and vertical (well sitting up!).

Ah, all's well then!

Paralink suppositories are paracetamol. They are absolutely wonderful, ended up using them myself last year!!! (that's another story). I live in Dublin, don't know if they are available outside Ireland as they are made here.

argh ds has got a sickness bug too i think. i hope he doesn't get diarrhea (sp?) too!!
