Struggling with health - never felt like this ever before

I am 23F. I have been unwell for a long time. And have not received appropriate treatment from my healthcare providers to make the problem go away. It is affecting my life so badly that my mental health is very bad and academics are slipping too. I have been in and out of the A and E several times also, only to be sent back home after waiting for 11+ hours.

I am really struggling. Wanted to ask if any of you experienced any combinations of the following symptoms, and what it turned out to be for you?

DISCLAIMER - SOME SYMPTOMS ARE EXPLICIT IN NATURE:

-Extreme fatigue - some days are better though. But some days I have to push really hard to get out of bed; other days I am up and about, but still get tired easily

-Frequent lightheadedness

-Ongoing daily menstruation for 1 year+ . Recently the menses are a lot more clotted and heavier.

-chest pain

-back pain

-bloating

-hair loss

-vomiting blood

-patches of itchy redness all over body. some rashes look like swollen scratches.

ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. MANY THANKS.

Coeliac?

Have they tested your blood for anaemia (given all the bleeding)?

TravellingT · 19/11/2023 20:23

Have you had tests done by GP?

E.g. blood tests, physical exams?

If not, request a new GP and ask for investigation into coeliac, thyroid disorders, and vitamin deficiencies.

Vomiting blood is really concerning. Is it a large amount of blood or streaks? Is there a reason for vomiting e.g. stomach ache, intense pain, stress?

Coeliac screen came out alright and blood tests and physical exams done. Had pelvic ultrasound, speculum test, chest xray and ECG. thyroid came negative. All tests were normal I only have a vitamin D deficiency.

There was just a small streak of blood in vomit. I threw up 5 times on Friday evening. Can't think of any possible reason for vomiting...ate ok too - maybe stress but I have generally been feeling the same level of stress for many weeks now.

Hi OP, I have similar symptoms to you. All my bloods are fine apart from my cortisol which I’ve been referred to a specialist for. Maybe ask about having this test done? It’s not a routine and i didn’t get offered the cortisol blood tests for a whole year of going backwards and forwards the the doctors! Keep fibbing me off saying it’s stress! Go back to your GP and demand answers.
