How quick to heal from facial trauma?

Does anyone have experience of this who can give me some idea of timeframes and what to expect:

I had a nasty fall on Sunday night and broke my fall with my face 🤦‍♀️. I’ve a very tiny cut on the left cheek and the rest of the side of that face is swollen. I went to A and E on Monday (was being stoic Sunday night but by morning it was obvious it needed looking at). I was given a CT Scan so I know there are no fractures. Was also given tetanus and antibiotics in case of infection. Bruising is gradually coming out (including a weird bruise round my neck that looks like I’ve been strangled), black eye etc and cheek pad very swollen. They said one to two weeks for swelling and recovery.

However, what I’m a bit concerned about is firstly, my cheek pad is numb/tingly - I didn’t specifically ask about this so I’m not sure if that’s normal? Is it likely nerve damage that will improve? Secondly, the swelling on my cheek very much looked like it had gone down some on Tuesday (I’m taking daily pictures to check progress). But by Wednesday morning it had swollen back up again and hasn’t changed since. Is that normal or does it mean I might have some build up that needs draining? Just wondering whether I need to go back and see someone. I do realise it’s going to take a while to heal, and I am impatient because I look like a monster and I’ve got lots of stuff coming up very soon I’d like to look vaguely human for, but it’s the fact the swelling seemed to subside a bit and then come back a bit worse and the numbness that I’m not sure about.
