could be, ds was a bit under the weather before his spots broke out

mamalovesmojitos · 11/03/2008 20:36

yes. sorry! well in my dds case anyway. when she had it she started with cough and temp. stayed up for two nights and threw up. it was only after these nights that i noticed spots on her bum. by the time pox came out she was feeling fine!

How long after they start feeling a bit yucky do the spots come out?

My ds was narky and generally very miserable on Saturday night and we noticed one tiny spot that evening, by Sunday afternoon he had half of his body covered in the darn things which up until today, have continued to spread like wildfire from his torso and face, down his arms and legs.

His man bits are plastered too which is the main issue he has with the whole affair as he keeps saying it is sore and hurts to pee - ouch.

We are both getting cabin fever and need ideas on what activities we can do to pass the time - cbeebies, drawing, building etc gets a bit repetitive - any ideas for a 31 year old recluse and 3 year old pin cushion??

Poor you. I hate being indoors so know how you feel. DD has no sign of spots and been feeling bit off colour for a few days now so think it is probably just a viras. bless her she keeps waking herself upn coughing and is all sweaty.

Chicken Pox may still be on its way if she has a cough and is sweating - one of the first signs of CP can be a temperature/sweating and my friend's little baby had a really nasty cough just before she broke out with it a couple of days ago.....I hope that its not CP in your case of course though!

I hope that we are through the worse of it as being stuck at home for 5 days on the trot is sending me mad..........arrrghhh!

mummynumnum · 13/03/2008 20:46

i was hoping you wouldnt say that.

mummynumnum · 13/03/2008 21:20

I can sympathise. Am on on first day of being stuck at home with DS2. Few spots last night , loads more this morning and still coming.

Luckily he doesn't appear to be that unwell, just a bit grumpy.

Have just been out to Tesco's to stock up on cakes and a mag for tomorrow while he is glued to Cbeebies - lol.

Think dd has just got a cold. Had to pick her up from nursery as not coping today but have decided its no c pox. No spots just very very runny nose!!
