Glandular fever at 39 - symptoms?

I've been sick on and off with what I thought was back to back colds for a month now.

Started with sore throat and cold symptoms, came and went. I feel exhausted, have had awful sinuses and one gland in my neck is quite swollen.

But no high temp or severe sore throat.

Finally went to docs, and they gave me antibiotics which has helped sinuses - but I'm still exhausted. Sleeping so early and waking with sore throat still some mornings.

The docs suggested could be glandular fever, but I'm not convinced/sure?

I read that aged 40+ symptoms of GF vary massively and aren't necessarily severe - anyone had this?

Anyone have any experience with GF at this age, what were your symptoms? Did they diagnose with blood test?

Thanks!

Hope you are better now OP? Do you know if it was glandular fever in the end?
