My DS is just turned 12 months, and has been ill since Friday. He's obviously picked up a bug. He's gone through the projectile vomiting stage, thankfully, but now has obviously v. sore throat, raging temp, and tosses and turns and can't sleep during the night (and doesnt nap for long in day - 2 half hour to 45mins naps). He's also off his food, and milk. (But will take water and eats in the morning, toast and fruit, and will also take milk overnight (formula))
Thing is, he's fine in the morning. Happy to play and toddle about. Almost as lively as his normal self. Then after his afternoon nap, he wakes about 3pm and is as described above, listless and unhappy. Will only sit on our knee doing nothing. We can bring down his temp with baby paracetamol, but he's in such a state, panting and coughing and its horrible for him. Took him to GP yesterday, but was a morning appointment, so it looked like there was nothing wrong at all (he still checked him but wasn't concerned)
Anyone got any ideas as to why this only kicks in later in the day, and anything we can do? It could just be that he's had a nights 'rest' and is exhausted by the afternoon. Just not sure what to do to help him.
