I had a root canal filling yesterday and the tooth is painful now esp when I bite my teeth together. Is this normal does anyone know or do I need to go back to the dentist?

Ta.

Hiya

I had this done last year and yes it was painful the next day - especially when I bit my teeth together. I'd suggest you give it another day or so and then call the dentist if your pain isn't going down.

Hope you feel better soon

I always think of the pain afterwards (an old hand a root canal work ) as sort of bruising. And I take painkillers until I don't need them - can be a few days.

Hope it feels easier soon.

Thanks for that. Don't really want to take painkillers as am pregnant. Just wanted to know if it is normal.

Ta again
