Implant contraceptive and depression, is it connected?

That is it really. Have had PND and seems as if it is coming back. Also got the implant.
Does anyone know if it is connected?

Well i had it put in and within 6 months went from being very happy bubbly and out going to being a grumpy, moody narky cow!! I bled constantly and felt very low!! I dont profess to ever having depression but it was not good, i lost my sex drive and very nearly my relationship with my partner as he couldnt understand what was wrong with me. I made them take it out and it was like a fog lifted and i was back to normal again, i had to fight to have it taken out though as they cost alot of money so they dont like to take them out!! I was speaking to a friend and she told me her sil had the same thing and she ended getting her postnatal depression back!!! I would go back to your GP or family planning clinic and speak to them xx

Same as Bosslady really......although I had PND before I had the implant it didn't 'go' until I had it removed.
