What on earth is this "spot" on my elbow? Pic attached

I'm not prone to spots and have pretty clear skin so thought I just had a whitehead or pimple on my elbow a few weeks ago when it popped up however it's been getting bigger and really painful now, it wakes me up if I brush it with the duvet at night. Does anyone have any idea what this is or how I can get rid of it?!

I’d pop it personally, then keep it clean. But you could ask a pharmacist to take a look.

Could it be bursitis?

Boil by the looks of it. You need to draw a line around the edge of the red part and see how much it grows. I would also book an appointment to see your doctor for antibiotics

I think it's a boil and might need lancing.

I had one of these on my nipple many years ago (looked very very similar) - very painful. My GP just lanced it (he told me to look away as the gunk emerged 😏). Healed up nicely afterwards and never returned.

Thanks everyone, I tried to pop it last night in the bath but it just wouldn't pop! It's so sore. I don't want to waste Dr's time with it. Perhaps I'll take a trip to the chemist tomorrow when I've got time.

Oh my god I can't imagine having something this painful on my nipple! Ouch!

Put some magnesium sulphate paste on to draw it out

I had one for almost 6 months got to the point it hurt to even touch it. So I took a needle poked a hole in it an squeezed as hard as I could a hard crystal like thing came out now I have a hole from it on my elbow!
