Do they settle down or are all my teeth going to fall out in a row one after another!

1 week since it was removed BTW.

Thanks

Hi Disenchanted,

I had a cracked tooth taken out two years ago (not pleasant - I feel for you!) It took a long time to calm down and will feel tender for ages (will also feel like the space is big enough to drive a lorry through).

As to how your other teeth will change, yes, they will move over time but how much and in which direction will depend on where yours came out, your bight, the remaining space in your jaw... Basically, you'll have to ask your dentist.

I was warned that my single tooth that was left on its own at the back of my jaw might eventually turn on its side if I didn't have some kind of replacement sorted.

And if your not happy with your dentist's advice, you can always go to another for a second opinion. If you get into reconstructing teeth territory, you had better have someone you're pretty confident about.

Best of luck and keep smiling!

I should also mention that I grind my teeth at night (can't immagine where the stress comes from...) so that might have had something to do with my situation - you might be just fine. Best to ask the dentist their advice.

Hello again, It's just over two weeks since i had my tooth out, i was suffering from headaches and the same unstable sore feeling in the adjacent teeth. Glad to tell you i had the last headache exactly two weeks after extraction and now other teeth are definitly settling down, much, much better.

The gummy/gap is nearly but not quite healed over and is still tender. Glad i got the old bugger out though.

I wonder whether Foxinsocks had hers out yet?
