Knee injury - new job!!

I fell down the stairs earlier , tripped over the stair gate!! My foot stayed on the step and my knee came with me so it bent sideways. Pain is boarderline labour pain level and I have a high pain tolerance.

I have my first day of a promotion on the other side of the country tomorrow, does this injury sound like something I can just try to ignore and get on with my new job or should I get it looked at?? I don't want to waste anyones time!

I did the same manoeuvre that resulted in a meniscus tear and needed an arthroscopy. I did hobble about for several days though and then went to get it looked at. They did treat me as if I’d wasted their time!
I then waited months for physio and, as soon as she tried to get me to do a move and I screamed in agony, she referred me to orthopaedics.
Probably best to get it looked at.

I slipped on spilled egg white a month ago and did a similar thing. My knee was making a W on the floor. I hobbled with crutches for two days but it is now better.
Can you walk? And drive? That will determine whether you can ignore it and take some ibuprofen or whether you need to get it seen to.
