I just had my first extraction, it's the first 24 hours and I'm worried about my blood clot. I can't seem to find any images online that show blood clots as white as mine. Could it be something else?

Did you ever get an answer to this? I am having the same concern! I have quite a large, mushy, white, malleable substance under my sutures and can't tell if it's food, or if it's part of the healing process. Last time I looked at the extraction site (24 hrs ago), this substance was not there.

My wisdom teeth extraction looked just like that and healed fine!

Same with my tonsillectomy, it's normal in the mouth.
