Inflammatory breast cancer? 10 days post natal and panicking

I hope this is appropriate. I’ve attached several images of both breasts. I had my baby 10 days ago and my breasts had gotten a lot larger during pregnancy, they are very saggy and stretched skin but that doesn’t phase me. My midwife was discharging us this morning and mentioned to check my breasts routinely for different signs of breast cancer, 1 being orange peel skin. I feel my breasts regularly but rarely visually look at them but I did tonight after shower and noticed the skin like this on both of my breasts on the underside and slightly the top side. I’ve 0 other symptoms other than this but it’s panicked me now as my mother and father both died of cancer in the last 2 years, my mums began as breast cancer. Can someone help does this look just like stretched skin and hair follicles and am I over over panicking or does it look suspicious as to be inflammatory breast cancer?

That looks like normal pores and normal skin to me. After a baby and also after losing people to cancer it’s totally understandable that you’d panic about health/cancer related things. Make an appt to get checked out if you want to put your mind at ease but it does look fine and normal.

Nothing there that would worry me, OP, and I recently had one of my breasts checked privately due to pain.

Looks all totally normal to me OP. But call your GP in the morning for an appointment for reassurance- no point feeling anxious when you can get it checked and they can confirm it's all fine

This all looks normal to me. I don't think you should panic that it is something to worry about, but maybe try to get a GP appointment to check it out so they can hopefully put your mind at rest.

It looks absolutely normal to me, but this (post partum) is a very common time to have quite severe health anxiety. If it doesn’t ease then try to see your GP. But mostly, be kind to yourself. 💕

thank you all for replying!
I am generally an over panicer so it’s nice to get some reassurance. The only thing that paniced me was the orange peel skin photos then looking at the pores or hair follicles in my own pics but yous don’t feel it’s off any concern or looks “ orange peel “ like as they say? I’m up at the doctors on Monday with my daughter so I’ll mention it then and maybe I’ll get an appt?

It looks ok for post baby breasts. Breasts are very different in the early days post birth and often look and feel quite alarming. But you are obviously scared so book a GP appointment and get them checked.

Looks completely normal to me

Don’t worry - but do get them checked for peace of mind
