It feels absurdly early but I've been streaming from my nose and eyes today and my throat is very scratchy. It doesn't feel like a cold, it feels like hay fever and I wondered if there was anybody else who's been suffering today.

Yes!!Thank God, I thought it was just me. I have that annoying drippy nose and itchy eyes

bodiddly · 08/03/2008 21:35

ive been waking up with symptoms all week! soooo annoying - it is far too early, surely?

bettythebuilder · 08/03/2008 21:59

Yes! I started sneezing about a week ago, and dh said "oh, hayfever?" I hadn't even thought of it, and expected to develop a cold..but no!

It really is too early. I shall have to crack open a bottle of benadryl...

I can't even find a pollen count available for this season online. If it starts now does that mean it'll finish early [hopeful]?

Not at all early as the catkins are out. Tree pollen allergy form of hayfever I think.

I normally start mine around mid to late Feb. Seem to be starting a bit later this year...

Jbck · 08/03/2008 23:10

I've been quite bad all week, I'm allergic to all pollens which is very common. Early flowering trees start in February & late flowering ones don't finish till November (iirc) so I'm pretty snotty all year round.

Jbck · 08/03/2008 23:11

Sorry isn't very common. Most people are only allergic to a couple so are generally affected for a shorter timespan.

imaginaryfriend · 08/03/2008 23:38

Well, it's early for me! I usually remain reasonable until April-ish.
