My ds is 14mo, and is suffering from chest and eye infection. He is anti-biotics, and has been off is food for a few days. He usually eats 3 really good meals a day, and clamours for more! In the last 36 hrs he's developed a temperature, and has gone from just picking at meals to skipping them altogether. Today he missed breakfast, ate lunch and then refused afternoon tea and most of his dinner, and only went to bed on 4oz milk (formula). I have been trying to persuade him to eat by offering him a whole range of stuff, but I'm worried he's not eating enough and that he's not getting his 5 fruit ang veg a day, or even a balanced diet. Does a weetabix and a scrambled egg count as a good diet, or should I lay off until he feels better?
Sorry if this sounds neurotic, but this is the first time he's been really poorly.

as long as you are giving him enough fluids to stay hydrated then he will be fine, it's normal for children to go off their food when poorly.....would you want to eat????
