Ok, I'm a bit of a newbie on here and really need some advice.
Ever since I have had my second baby 10 months ago I just cannot keep wind in! Its getting a bit ridiculous now, it absolutely stinks, makes my trousers smell and sometimes even feels like its coming out my lady bits too. It happens through the night, can wake me up and sometimes its loud and other times not. My bowel habits are slightly different too, I just mean it feels different to how I used to poo, not change in stool or anything, sort of feels more 'loose' round that area and not as tight (which is kinda obvious anyway but no one talks about it!)

I had an episiotomy first time round and tore slightly with my second, so don't know if this is relative?

Its becoming a bit stupid now and I thought it would go away but its not. Its so bad that I am passing so regularly that if I go anywhere that I can't just 'let rip' I have to hold it in, which gives me tummy ache and then have to let it all out at a later convenient time.

God I am so embarrased, just pleased I don't know any of you just yet.

Has anyone experienced this and will it go away? I really don't want to go to doc, unless I definately know something is wrong, I have tried searching online with no luck really.

Please advise......

Do you think you could have irritable bowel syndrome? Excess wind, cramps and discomfort are symptoms of that.

Thanks!
I'm not sure of that as I have some family members who have that and they have diarrhoea and bad tummies, and their symptoms are quite different I think. I did wonder, but it has only happened since my second baby.....so not sure really.....

I would go to the docs...any long term change in bowel habits should be checked out, and having kids changes your body in so many ways.

Could it be allergy based? Do you eat lots of one thing, like bread or sugar? All that yeast can ferment inside giving you terrible wind!

Well sugar kinda, I like my chocolate, have to have one a day (bar that is! most days...) and apart from that generally have a good diet, some days I don't manage all the 5, but do eat well and drink water and juice and milk. It just really stinks and even my hubby makes jokes about it.

Sometimes it feels as if I have a tiny hole that may not have healed between botty and lady bit, as if its inside on vaginal wall or whatever, and feels like wind passes through there and comes out both areas...

I really don't want to go to doc. The thought of a doc sticking whatever inside me in either or both holes just fills me with absolute horror and it would upset me I think. I still hate the doc who sliced me first time round!

I just don't know what to do and whether to leave it, change diet completely to see, try exercise or what, I just fed up with it now and its only since 2nd birth, very odd.
