What's this rash? Gross pic included

I've come out in a rash across tummy and thighs, not itching, but is sore to touch.

I've had chicken pox as a child, I'm now 33.

Doctor asked me to send a pic, said didn't think it was chicken pox but didn't say anything else.

They're quite big.

Any ideas? Due to go away this weekend and can't decide whether to go or not. I feel okay in myself other than a bad chesty cough I've had for weeks

They look like bites?

Why did the doctor not say anything - what did he/she advise you to do?

Cornettoninja · 13/10/2023 17:18

Try a pharmacist. They might be able to identify it and/or recommend something to help clear it up

Folliculitis? Have you been in a hot tub or wild swimming or anything recently?

HappyHamsters · 13/10/2023 17:19

Mozzie or maybe bedbugs. Can you get to a pharmacy if your doctors won't help

It does look a bit like chicken pox, and the fact that you’ve been ill lately.

I had this after hot tubs. It's quite painful. Only did it twice before I learned!

No hot tubs, no outdoor walks, no swimming pools.

It was receptionist at doctor who called me back and said duty doc said they didn't think it was chicken pox, so just keep an eye on it.

Haven't been in any hotels, clean bedding and my husband and children don't have any marks.

I don't think it's bites as i react terribly to bites usually
