Palpitations, shortness of breath and dizzy spells

GP has booked me in for an ECG and bloods this week, BP 131/0 and pulse and blood O2 normal when checked. I have the occasional sensation of my heart skipping a couple of beats/fluttering (for about a year) but its suddenly got worse. Has anyone else seen their GP for this, and how was it investigated?

How old are you? In perimenopause and menopause l got palpitations and funny beats with my heart. Would make you feel anxious. Had everything checked out and there was no issue. It has settled again.

I had a bad bout of this a few years ago during late 40s- I had exercise tolerance test , echo & 24 hr tape - all normal . Perimenopause !

Sounds like anaemia to me.

I get this when I lose handle on my recurring anaemia.

peri menopause and v low iron was the cause of my symptoms like this

Another vote for menopause, I'm early 40's and have had bouts of this recently. Had full bloods done and GP suspects it's early stages of peri menopause.
