Flu jab autumn 2023 - Feel rotten

Agii · 08/10/2023 21:26

I had my flu jab 7 days ago and ever since I have been experiencing extreme fatigue and nonstop headache, pulsing in my temples and ringing in my ears(never happens). Sad

Is that normal to have such side effects 7 days later? I thought I'll get away with sore arm and a bit of achy muscles.

Anyone had similar and how long did it last?

No, I’ve always been ok with flu jabs. Hope it passes soon.

It might be a bug not a reaction

dementedpixie · 08/10/2023 21:30

I had a sore arm for a couple of days and nothing else

I felt awful last year but this year was fine. Read the patient information leaflet that should provide some reassurance. Also do consider if it may be covid as that is doing the rounds.

Same here.

I usually get symptoms like this with flu jab. I didn't this year but it sounds very typical for me for a flu jab reaction.

RosesAndHellebores · 08/10/2023 21:36

First time ever this year I felt rough the following day. Sore arm too. Having my covid jab tomorrow so let's hope that's OK.

I’ve heard a few people have felt rotten after this covid booster.

I've had an annual flu jab for years but this year is the first time I've had any reaction beyond a slightly sore arm for a few days. Had awful chills/fever a couple of days after getting the jab for 48hrs or so as well as nausea and generally feeling a bit bleargh.

LeakyPipes · 09/10/2023 21:53

The injection hurt a lot for me this year - prolly teh most painful injection of any kind I've ever had - but other than feeling tired and achey the following day I've been fine ever since.

I had my flu jab on Saturday and by Sunday afternoon I felt a bit rough, nausea, headache type symptoms. Monday was the same and by the afternoon I felt awful, came home from work and went to bed, slept on and off 7-7 then back to work yesterday, dosed myself up but still felt off, head felt like it was on fire. Started to feel better last night so was hoping it would be all over today. Had a pretty rough night and woken up this morning with a headache, nausea and absolutely shattered. Did a Covid test yesterday which was negative so I’m hoping it won’t last much longer now. I hope you’re feeling better

I had the flu jab yesterday and feel fine. That sounds like covid…

I had both covid jab and flu jab at the same time on Friday afternoon, I am normally ok but still feel bit shit now. On Saturday my covid arm was really hurting and I had a temperature and a headache.

I still have a bit of a headache and am very tired but temperature is normal and arm is not hurting now.
