Anyone else using the persona monitor for contraception?

I've had mine for about 2 years now and for the last nine months or so it's given me red days every day between day 6 and 26! It's not giving me the O symbol at all even though I can see two lines on the stick around O time.

Every month I tell it that it's going on ebay if I get a repeat of last month!

Does anyone else have this problem or is the persona just not for me?

Hi Zis

I used the persona monitor a few years ago. Something like this happened to me and i was a bit .

Unfortuantely i chose to do my own interpretation and had nookie on about day 26/27 thinking it would be fine. I now have a 17mo ds!!

I have come to the conclusion having done a bit of research that the persona monitor was picking up my usual ovulation but was also picking up some other jiggery pokery (lol) with my cycle hence was giving loads od red days and no 'o' on the machine. In my case I MUST have ovulated twice at least that one month when i conceived as I had a very early scan for various reasons and they could date back to the few days around conception so it was definately then.

I have since found that the concept of every woman ovulating on days 11 to 14 ish is usually right but in fact there are great variations and ovulating more than once in a cycle isnst that unusual.

Anyway, perhaps something similar is happening with you?
My only advice would be dont ignore the dear monitor unless you want to get preg (lol-wouldnt be without my ds now tho!)

I used one for four years. It eventually did go on the blink after I did something to it - I think I left it open with the stick in the holder all day and then took the stick out the next day during the window & it got thoroughly confused. By that time I was using it to ttc, though, so I would just read the lines on the sticks.

Interesting that that can happen, desperatedora!
