Progesterone Pessary up my urethra

Hello everyone
This is going to sound absolutley insane and I never thought it possible, but in a hurry to get out the house, I by mistake have inserted a progesterone pessary up my urethra. It felt incredibly tight and sore and suddenly diappeared up there.
I have googled a bit and can see that it can cause a severed UTI. We just had an embryo transfer and I am waiting for the news (hence the progesterone). Should I go to the GP? should I wait and see? Would the progesterone get absorbed up there?

Ouch. I’d be calling the fertility clinic on that one.

I think it very likely the pessary will just absorb, I'm presuming its Utrogestan or Provera?

Drink as much as possible, if you get UTI symptoms, call your doctor.

I have got some mild UTI symptoms
It really is so strange, I have never even noticed the "hole" is bigger than a pin prick. i just hope it doesn't ruin any chances, especially if i ended up needing antibiotics.

How is this even possible? My mind is boggled! Sorry, not helping...

I am also super surprised to hear that, I mean I guess catheters fit in there but this is genuinely bizarre. It is unlikely cause any issues for transfer even I'd you need antibiotics. I would also just chat with your ivf midwives as they can advise on what to do.

This is very similar to a thread from before and I’m calling BS. I’ve used both Utrogestan and Cyclogest, there’s not a chance in hell those are going anywhere apart from your vag or your bum.

I saw the other thread, I swear it is not BS. I would have said exactly the same. I inserted it standing up, which may have been why. Anyway - I can report that apart from a bit of stinging, it was fine and I seem to have flushed out any infection. I found a few more threads on the internet about it, its a bit grim I can see, but its strangely possible
