Fever with no other symptoms, anyone else?

My little girl woke up this morning with a fever of 38.8 so gave her calpol and kept her off school.

Her temp then went up to 39.6 so gave nurofen instead. It’s brought it down to the 37’s but shoots straight back up to 39.6 when the medicine is wearing off.

She has no other symptoms of illness.

I’ve heard that another child at school has the same all week, along with her mum and sister.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same and worked out what it was in the end?

Yes! That's been me this week 38.5. No other symptoms. Improving now.

Has she had the flu vaccine recently? That can cause fever

My dd was like this. She had an ear infection. No signs of an ear infection though other than the temp.

Maybe flu? This can often cause fever and no other symptoms

We've had the same going around our nursery. Temperatures of 40 in a number of the kids. I have covid and my son has had the high temperature with no other symptoms so I have been wondering if it's that.

Yes my 8 month old DD was like this for 4 days, then went very floppy and drowsy so was seen by paeds unit at our local hospital and was swabbed for covid- was positive. She is fine now a few days later.
