Private op in 3 weeks but not heard anything?

Hi all

I am booked to have a laparoscopy for endometriosis with Spire Healthcare in 3 weeks time. The last communication I had was with the consultant who said he would add me to his list for the day, I was expecting some follow up regarding a pre op assessment and payment but so far nothing.

Is this normal? I’m worried I was meant to contact someone to arrange something! I had a bereavement between the appointment and confirming the op and lost handle of things a bit.

Ring the hospital and check - Teen DD had private surgery recently and we didn’t get confirmation until a week beforehand due to a disorganised consultant who’d forgotten to actually book her in until I emailed him as a reminder 🤦‍♀️
