7 month old lips always dry and very cracked/bleeding but refuses water

think he is mildy dehydrated - still has 1/2 litre milk a day

but wont drink water during meals..

what do i do?

more milk might make him fat..

no, more milk will not make him fat. Give him as much milk as he wants, it is still his main source of nutrician at this stage. If you really think he is dehydrated, take him to your GP.

Vaseline on the lips can help with the soreness, especially when you go out.

Have you tried chopping up some fruit and putting it in the water to make it taste nicer? It puts suger in it though. Peel an orange, put it in the water and leave it for a short while, makes a weak ornage water, healthier then baby juice.

I'm not sure about babies, but permanently dry, cracked lips in an adult can indicate a vitamin deficiency. Could be worth seeing your gp and asking if vitamin drops would be a good idea?

But probably just the cold weather.

More likely the colder, drier weather atm tbh , agree vaseline or lipsalve. Forget about milk making him fat idf that is what he drinks, just give him solids first.
