Rash on arms and legs

I woke up on Friday with a slight rash on my arms and legs, didn't bother me too much during the day (I was working so a bit distracted) but by evening it was so itchy. It woke me in the middle of the night and I took an antihistamine and put some more balneum cream on which at least meant I could sleep.

It looks awful and is incredibly itchy. I cancelled my flu jab today as I wasn't feeling great and the pharmacist advised Piriton and calamine cream which I've just slathered on.

I'm assuming it was the pjs I wore on Thurs night which were long sleeves and legs - haven't worn them for months. Maybe I washed them in bio powder? I'm now rewashing all the washing I did this week as I can't say for definite it was non bio powder.

Anyone got any thoughts as to what it might be - I have no idea why it's only arms and legs and nowhere else for example and why it is quite so vicious. I do have mildly sensitive skin and have been affected by washing powder before but only behind my knees and elbows.

Also tips on stopping it itching - making me so miserable.

Trying to attach pics to show you.

That looks so sore. I think I would be seeking further medical help with that if the pharmacist treatment hasn't worked - you could try 111 for out of hours teams or if you're happy to wait try and get into your own GP Monday.

For the itching have you tried colloidal oatmeal - either use porridge oats in an old sock in warm water/a bath and then squeezed and put on your skin or Avenoo products have similar.

Thanks for that @willingtolearn

I'll have a go at the oatmeal bath - have just googled colloidal oatmeal so I know what I'm doing!!
