If I take ADs, then can I take those Kalms things as well?

I take 20 mg of Amitryptiline at night for pain. Am very stressed, but don't want to increase the ADs, as A) not feeling depressed, well i am a bit, but not enough to warrant increasing them
B) Feel really tired and zombie like if I got over more than 4 a night
So I was thinking of taking some Kalms - mainly to help me be calm thorugh the morning stress of getting DS2 ready for school

Hi there, I am not really knowledgeable in this subject so hopefully somone will reply to your thread soon. I believe Kalms are herbal ie made from plant extracts so sure they should be fine.

Just had a look at your thread, what part of the South coast do you live, my mum lives in e devon (lovely part of the world)

I would not take anything on top of ADs unless you speak to your doctor. just because something is "herbal" it doesn't mean innocuous.

Saltire, i would maybe ask the pharmacist - amitryptiline has a lot of contra indications (i take a 10mg dose at night) but my pharmacist was great when i asked about something on the list. They would know about kalms.

I'm pretty sure it would be fine but I agree that you should check with your pharmacist first

I just googles it and it said that it can interact with valarian which is in Kalms so definitely check first.

Ok, will go into superdrug and ask there, not asking the pharmacist at work
