A question for those who have had an upper abdominal ultrasound scan.

Did you have to remove your bra? Just that, really. I have googled and read various health authority guidelines but can't find an answer to my question.

Had one for liver, gall bladder and kidneys, if that's high enough? No, didn't go up to my bra level.

Same here. Liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys stomach etc.
Didn't have to remove my bra.

Had to turn on side for kidneys and hold my breath in for gallbladder.

Ah thank you. I've had a couple for my kidneys, one recently, which failed to show anything so the GP suggested upper abdomen. Knowing how high up the scan had to go for the kidneys, I imagined an upper abdomen scan would go as far as the bra line if not beyond. Glad to know it doesn't.
