Period 9wks postpartum whilst breastfeeding

I just started bleeding I’m 9wks postpartum, I’m exclusively breastfeeding. I went to see my doctor who requested an ultrasound. I’m not booked in until the 14th. She said it’s possibly my period. Anyone else has their period return this quickly? I feel ripped off haha
