Green runny poo in 9 year old - bug or food poisoning???

DD went to a sleepover yesterday - she partook of chinese food including a prawn and ate amonst much other stuff cake with very blue icing - turned her tongue blue. Now she is producing very runny green poo. What do you reckon - bug or dodgy prawn? She hasn't been sick - does the fact that we've got to the poo stage mean she won't be - or is that next?

I would cross fingers and hope that a surfeit of strange and rich foods has given her a dodgy tummy and all will be well tomorrow.

Am not at the blue tongue as DS2 had a blue cake when he was 3 and the icing gave him dorrid khaki poos

HTH

my fingers are so crossed it's not true! Really icing = dodgy poo - perhaps there is hope for us after all.........or perhaps not. Thanks for the reply.

It was a hideous Thomas cake, he ate about eight feet of icing

Good luck

Just the thought of that is making me feel sick!

Green poo generally means it has shot through the system very fast, for whatever [usually inocuous] reason, as does mucus.

do you know - in nearly ten years of parenting I've never seen anything that colour before (baby poo excepted of course)

I so desperately want her to be well in the morning - she has loads of cool stuff at school on Mondays and will be so upset - and I've got an interview and dh has got the day off work - which could be very handy - but it's not what we planned to do with it. Feeling very sorry for self now
