X post: Heavy bleeding and severe pain during and after exam

Follow up to my previous post. I’ve been experiencing bleeding between periods and side pain since last year. I went for an exam today, and it was cut short because I was in too much pain and bled heavily as soon as the speculum was inserted.

I’m booked in for an ultrasound (private) Monday. Doc said it could be a polyp or fibroids before the exam, but looked quite worried after I started bleeding. The two students in the room also looked quite concerned.

I’m 26 and my family have a history of Ovarian Cancer, and Endometriosis. Anyone experienced this? Am I in danger here?

Everyone around me is really worried about me but my brain is just spinning, so need proper advice or experiences to read

I had that and it was cervical erosion. I needed a hysterectomy to get relieve but if you haven’t finished having your family they can give you tablets to ease symptoms.

Thank you! I’m only 26, and single, so nowhere near ready to have children, but I desperately want them. I hope I don’t need a hysterectomy - my mother required one in her late 30s due to severe heavy menstrual bleeding
