Small red lump on cheek should I be worried?

about 3 years ago a noticed I had a very small red lump on my cheek. It looks like a small spot with no head. Since it appeared it's never gone and has just constantly been there. I didn't think much of it until last month my mum had a brown spot on her nose removed as it's cancerous. Now I'm worried. I was going to call the doctors but it's hard to get an appointment and don't want to waste their time incase it's just a skin tag. Everyone I've spoke to says oh it's probably just a spot but I know when I have a spot this has been there for 3 years and I don't think small spots would be there constant for this length of time.

Yes get it checked just for peace of mind. You won't be wasting anyone's time.

Hi OP. I had something on the side of my face that I thought was some kind of perpetual spot, but eventually after it bled a bit (a couple of years after I first noticed it) I spoke to my GP. They referred me to dermatology, and it turned out to be a BCC. They removed it and now all is fine.

You should speak to your GP just in case - they might ask you to send photos. This is not something to panic or even feel anxious about, because even if it's a BCC there's almost zero chance that it would be a cause for concern. Do contact your GP, though, just in case Flowers
