Flu-like symptoms on Metrodizanole (antibiotic)?

Anyone had this? Been taking it for 6 days now for a dental infection and just feeling so so shit - and not because of the infection, which is actually improving! No energy at all, chills, aches and pains, nausea, etc. Is this normal?

I felt awful when I took it. Spaced out and nausesous rather than fluey. Infinitely better than toothache though.
