Perfectly normal; if it's not smelly or sore, and nappy area is not reddened, then worry not. If it starts to get offensive then get her checked out by GP for infection/foreign bodies, etc...

think its normal tbh....I have dd1 who is 8 and she has had this since about 3.....I would not worry but you could always see your GP to be on the safe side.....

Hijack!! Loopylou, how did you get on at dentist?

loopylou6 · 27/02/2008 21:29

hi blousy WELL the agonising pain ive been having in my face is apparently down to a hole in my wisdom tooth which he said he wont fill but will extract (thats never gonna happen btw) he reckons it wont hurt at all, the pain im having in my filling, he said he cant find anyhting wrong so will remove the filling to 'see if theres anything going on under it' and i also need a tiny lil filling aswell oh and a clean and polish grrrrrrrrr

blousy, call me dim lol, but how did u know i was going the dentist?

OP posts:
K999 · 27/02/2008 21:38

get it pulled....if you have a hole and it already has a filling then I would get it pulled...;I had root canal and it only made things worse.

Its the same as getting any other tooth pulled tbh.....although I was sedated at the time....

loopylou6 · 27/02/2008 21:44

k999 i think hes probably going to suggest that its a really deep filling that funnily enough before he filled it it didnt bother me at all, i think hes damaged the nerve now and the pain is unbelieveable, feels like someones drilling my jaw

I'm not a stalker Loopy!,we both posted on a face pain type thread last week and I remembered that you were going to the dentist.
I am still in agony, btw and am going to the dentist tomorrow. Very worried about abscess/root canal scenario... But after a week of horrendousness, I just want to feel normal! I can't even open my mouth properly and am having to gingerly post food in - not a good look!

loopylou6 · 28/02/2008 08:26

lolol blousy, i didnt think for one second you where a stalker, was just annoying myself trying to remember where we had spoke about the dentist aww poor you i really sympathise, the pain is horrendous isnt it what time u going dentist today? good luck, will keep my fingers crossed for u
