both ds2 and dd have been complaining of itchy heads - I've attacked them with a nit comb and have found not a single sign of nits ... so what else could be giving them itchy scalps? any ideas??? please????

have you changed shampoo / showergel?
I used to use Pantene but they "improved" their formula and I can't use it anymore as it irritates my scalp.

no sign of dandruff or flaky bits, same shampoo as normal - baffled ...

How old are they, MM?

My ds, 5 still gets cradle cap occaisionally, so an old-fashioned olive oil douse might be help?

mimsum · 28/02/2008 22:50

they're 8 and 5 BALD (fab name btw) and no cradle cap, I checked

still baffled ....

I GET SCORISIS [EXCUSE SPELLING] WHICH DOES CAUSE ITCHINESS ON MY SCALP IT CAN 'FLARE UP' AT ANY TIME AND I HAVE TO GET LOTION FROM G.P. IF I CHANGE MY SHAMPOO IT CAN MAKE MATTERS WORSE.

Not rinsing shampoo out properly can cause itching, or sweating.

yeast infections of the scalp can case itching (not sure if there are any visible signs or not). docs can prescribe anti-yeast shampoos that sort these out very quickly!
