Any positive outcomes from these symptoms?

Has anyone experienced the following symptoms and NOT had a Cancer diagnosis?

  • blood in stool (detected only by a stool test)
  • weight loss
  • anaemia
  • intermittant stomach cramps (only at night)

I guess I’m just seeking any kind of positive stories to prevent me from going mad as we await the results of tests, scans, etc.

Thank you for reading - I’m losing sleep! I’m so worried 😢

Yes my mum had all those symptoms. she had a ct colonoscopy on the 2 week cancer pathway and it was diverticulitis.
I sincerely hope it's a good outcome for you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply – this is reassuring that there is a chance it might not be the worst case scenario! X

@Tamarachick I was wondering how you got on?

I'm in the same position right now, on the 2 week path with an appointment on Tuesday to speak to the consultant.

My friend has exactly the same symptoms and has just been diagnosed with Chrones. I on the other hand had almost no symptoms and was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer

@Notthatcatagain I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis... its tricky as I was only given a full check up as I was so tired, which revealed the iron deficient anemia, raised platelets and inflammation markers. So I had a fit test which came back as >200 hence the 2 week pathway...

How are you getting on now?
