11 week old baby started vomiting- is the amount something I should be scared of?

Hello all

My 11 week old dd has just started vomiting. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but what's considered a normal amount of milk to bring up?

DD never used to posset until last week, but over the past week has brought up a large amount of milk on 2 occasions. Today the amount was massive (I was amazed she'd eaten that much today)and happened half way through a feed when she'd just had a nappy change. She was smiling after puking, brave lamb, and playing afterwards. the HV at the baby clinic said it could be due to feeding on top of wind or the start of teething. Apart from not having much of an appetite today she's been ok otherwise.

Any advice please!

thanks

I don't know but I do know there is a difference between "bringing up a feed" and vomiting. Was it part-digested from earlier in the day? Or was it all the milk she'd just drank coming back? Because the latter is prob wind / reflux. Whereas suddenly throwing up the contents of her stomach is going to be a stomach bug.

sorry being harassed by 3-yr-old ...

Thanks Fruitful- I think it was just wind.

regularly bringing up an oz or more is a sign of reflux.

My DD had reflux and used to vomit like this most days, was very scary and messy, but she is fine! However with reflux they tend to be in pain and crying when they vomit.

hi - DD went through a stage at similar age, didn't last long though. Found that burping her before a feed, and maybe halfway through, helped a lot. Also had to keep her upright for half an hour after feed (!). She just grew out of it.
Still might have to buy a new duvet though.......
