My right eye has got a twitch or a tic or something... what can it be?

Since yesterday I've had this nasty twitching feeling in my right eye. It's not as pronounced as a tic (I think), insofar as the eye doesn't actually close of its own accord. It's just like a twitching feeling in my eye - like a trembly, twitchy, wobbly eyelid. It feels very peculiar and it's driving me mad. Any idea what it is or how I can get rid of it?

(PS Am a bit paranoid about my eyes - have very dodgy vision at the best of times - so feel free to ignore if this sounds like pure hypochondria!)

I get that when really really tired.
Go to bed.

MamaG · 26/02/2008 16:18

same here dragon, have an early night ell

Scampmum · 26/02/2008 16:19

I get it for months at a time. That's not what you want to hear, is it? I don't think it's anything serious, though.

Ellbell · 26/02/2008 16:19

If only... (staff meeting tomorrow; me to chair; haven't even got an agenda yet...)

I get that quite often, it's horrid isn't it? But nothing to bce concerned about. It might be you've been doing a lot of close work, or on the PC too much (my usual one) or just sheer tiredness. It'll go on it own...

Ellbell · 26/02/2008 16:20

Oh gawd, Scampmum... it must drive you doolally. I keep having to look in the mirror to check I'm not twitching! People are going to think I've turned really really vain!

Don't worry about the agenda, everyone will be too busy wondering WTF is up your eye to listen to what you're saying.

smugmumofboys · 26/02/2008 16:21

I'd second tiredness. I get it when I'm really knackered.

flowerybeanbag · 26/02/2008 16:23

Ellbell · 26/02/2008 16:25
