I've been having a ridiculous number of nosebleeds for 4wks now. Mostly very heavy and sudden, resulting in lots of tops requiring scrubbing....
Initially I assumed it was overly dry nose linked to my hayfever, as I've had short bouts of this in the past from the same side of my nose. Ended up with a video call to a GP and a prescription for an antibiotic nasal cream. No huge difference really, and add in I started to struggle to hear out the ear on the same side as the bleeds, so back to the GP.
Sas a paramedic in person, checked nose etc. Prescribed a week of oral doxcycline which has made me feel unbelievably sick.
I've now finished the course but my hearing is not greatly improved (akin to when you have water stuck in an ear and everything is muffled, but nothing in there!) and I'm still having near-daily bleeds. Today's bleed was in the shower, apparently caused by me looking down while I shaved my legs FFS. And took AGES to stop. I promise I'm not picking at it! And blood pressure is low despite being v fat.
I guess it's back to the GP, but any ideas? Anyone had their nose cauterised? Does it hurt?
