DH has approx 12 insect bites on his legs. Some have been bleeding

He got them on Sunday while he was referee. he said they were flying insects and the bites are really big, some were bleeding at the time and ahve been bleeding since. They are very itchy - I gave him some antihistamine to soothe them- I think he should go and see his doctor, but he won't. I don't think it's normal for bites to be like that, or to get so many in such a short space of time. he had gone outside to speak to someone, so 5 minutes at most, then realised they had bitten him.

Some people get a bigger reaction than others when bitten. Antihistamines are the best for helping. He may even get a temperature.

If he is unwell or it gets worse contact your GP. HTH
