Is it normal for a caesarian scar to still be sore 6 months post delivery?

My DD does like to stand a lot, and her feet always seem to end up in that particular area, so I know this isn't helping.

Meant to say, I cannot wear trousers at all because the fabric seriously irritates my scar. I'm having to freeze in skirts all teh time

Doesn't sound normal from my experience. I've had 2 sections and the scar was fine after just a few weeks.

Not sure what to recommend but hope you get it sorted

Mine is still tender occasionally and I have to move my DS's feet off it and he's 11 months. I would go and see your GP though to be on the safe side

it is def worth checking but mine was sore from time to time up to about a year at least ... 3 years on it can still be a little uncomfortable if pressure is put on it

Mine was sore for about a year, it really depends where it is and your muscle structure. Mine is really low and so it is stretched every time I squat or get down on the floor - so every nappy change or pick up made it hurt a bit for a looooong time. However if you have heat, redness or pain on resting (rather than after movement) you should seek advice.

Mine was sore for about 8-9 months after c section (not sore all the time, but a babies feet prodding it would have hurt!). Seems to have stopped now though.

Sounds like I've been really lucky! My 29lbs 11mth old DS has been jumping on mine for months with no ill effect - could be the generous padding (fat) around it...

Hope you get somewhere with your GP

Mine was sore for about 10 months.Nothing major just sore. When it gets really cold it still aches-2 and a half years on from the c section.
