I have started getting really shaky and I think it is low blood sugar but why has it suddenly started?

(I get really shaky and unwell if I go too long without food. Weight loss has made this better, I think. Low-GI diet helps, as does exercise etc etc)

Pruni, I went through a phase of being like this. I find that avoiding eating bread/sandwiches at lunchtime really helps. I try and have something like soup or salad now, and snack on fruit or nuts in the afternoon if I get really hungry.

I went to my GP about the same thing and he said low blood sugar is definitely not a warning sign of diabetes as it would tend to give you HIGH blood sugar. He said it is hard to test for unless they take your blood while having an attack, and just told me to carry some glucose sweets around with me.
