So I'm full of cold again
Went to Boots to buy the above to be told they no longer exist
I used to swear by them
Anyone know the next best thing?

You can buy night nurse and day nurse separately.

maudesvagina · 19/07/2023 15:21

They both contain paracetamol so need to watch don't take too much over the 24 hrs

Sudafed day and night are my go-to, though I like the night nurse liquid at night if I have a cough.

gamerchick · 19/07/2023 15:23

The bottles of day and night nurse?

solice84 · 19/07/2023 15:34

Day nurse no longer available either

Superdrug do an own-brand version; there's also a Lemsip one.

Ah just read that they've been discontinued due to a small risk of an allergic reaction. Sad
This is my go to remedy for a heavy cold too. Nothing else seems to help with the streaming tickly nose!

There is nothing as good as day and night nurse but boots own decongestant tablets are the same as the decongestant in day nurse.

I can't believe they've taken them off the shelves 😟

I bought the Aldi own-brand last week.

Can't comment on effectiveness as I couldn't actually use it due to high blood pressure.

SoupDragon · 19/07/2023 17:15

I'm currently using Sainsbury's Cold and Flu Max tablets which seem an effective day version. Can't say whether they're still available, although I only bought them a few months ago I think.

Bearpawk · 19/07/2023 17:17

You just need paracetamol and decongestant tabs which cost about £1 off brand. Can alternate with ibuprofen every 2 hours if you feel really awful.
Then lovely lovely night nurse liquid for bed.

solice84 · 21/07/2023 18:14

I've bought some Night Nurse liquid but I think when the other stuff was taken off the shelves that they took this off and changed the ingredients from what I've read so I'm not sure if it's as good as it used to be
